Legal Executive Search – New York City (High-Growth Boutique)
Base Salary: $65,000 – $200,000 (DOE) + 10-70% Commission Structure

We are representing a leading, partner-led executive search firm as they scale their Manhattan office. While this is a high-autonomy NYC team, the firm is a globally recognised brand with over 20 years of experience, 1,000+ partner moves delivered, and an international footprint spanning London, Dubai, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Australia (Sydney & Melbourne).
The Desk
- Market: Legal / Law Firm search.
- Seniority: Partner-level moves, Associate teams, and Broker Mergers.
- Fees: High-value searches ranging from $200k to $500k+, with Partner moves often reaching seven-figure fees.
- Model: A proven 50/50 split of Retained/Exclusive and Contingent work.

* Juniors ($65k–$80k Base):
Earn while you learn. You receive 10% commission
for candidate introductions and 25% for every role or candidate originated
for the firm globally. (Expected total OTE: $80k–$100k+).
- Seniors ($100k–$200k Base): A high-performance model with tiers at 35%, 40%, and 50% commission, scaling up to 70% for Partner-level billings.
- Proactive Executive Search: This is not a reactive, database-led environment. You will be mentored directly by senior industry experts in pure search—mapping markets and identifying passive talent for the world’s most prestigious law firms.
- Flexibility: High-trust, hybrid environment (2-3 days office-based) with a focus on face-to-face client networking and international travel opportunities.
Who You Are
- The Headhunter: You have 1–5+ years of experience in high-level professional services. We will cross-train into Legal, provided you have experience in Banking, Accountancy, or Consulting.
- The Networker: You prefer working passive candidates and building long-term relationships over high-volume, transactional recruitment.
- The Ambition: You want a clear, criteria-based roadmap to leadership and the opportunity to build actual equity in a scaling firm.
- NYC Based: You are currently in New York or ready to be based there, with the commercial acumen to meet with top-tier law firm partners.
